One of my favorites that seems to be right in my ear over and over again, this year, is Isaiah 43:18,19: "'Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past.' 'Behold I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.'"

My favorite right now is - Romans 12:2 (NLT) "Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you which is good and pleasing and perfect."

"LET God" reminding me its not something I will achieve on my own and if I let him he will transform me.

I can so relate to a slow fade... It seems when things are going well I become this big slacker. I am busy with work, family, church - doing good things. I may get my bible reading in and even some pretty deep study BUT actually skip prayer to move onto something else. Not good. Not good at all. I have begun working on this; making sure I am not just checking off a list of things to do and really taking the time to take it all in and seek his face. Thank you for being transparent.
