Women of Faith Week: Day 1 Giveaway

As much as I really, really, really want to get caught up in all the BlissDom talk, I need to declare this week Women of Faith week on my blog. One thing at a time peeps. One thing at a time.

So, this week I am flying to Dallas and going to Women of Faith’s All Access group leader training. Believe it or not, there’s only one person there I’m going to know — and I’ve never met her in real life Misha’s going too! And I’m so excited to be able to meet her! We’ve been conversing on Twitter for, like, ever!

Here’s the deal. I’ve been to 4 Women of Faith Conferences. I get all excited and buy resources that have been sitting on my shelf. God’s convicted me lately that I need to stop hoarding these things and give some of them away — especially since I haven’t done anything with them Now, some of these things I’ve had on my shelf since 2003 — they are in wonderful shape, never been used!

Each day this week I’m going to post another thing I’m going to giveaway. I’ll leave the comments open on all of these until Sunday, January 17th midnight. I’ll draw and notify winners Monday, January 18th.

Day 1 Giveaway:

The Great Adventure Tour 2003: Conference Video Set (VHS tapes — you’ll probably want to have access to that ancient machine called a VCR for this giveaway!). Featured speakers include: Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg, Luci Swindoll, Shelia Walsh and Thelma Wells.

A Woman Inspired Giveaway

Because I admire Especially Heather, I’m copying her Well, kinda sort of.

Awhile back, I purchased a ticket for the online conference, A Woman Inspired. They are going to have some exceptional speakers and the price was affordable, so I jumped on it. I got an email saying one of the founders, Amy Bayliss, prayerfully decided to cut the ticket price in half. For those of us who paid full price, we can either get a refun or give a ticket away.

So, since this is a monument event in that I haven’t posted in 23 days and am doing so twice in one day (or rather just because I feel like it), I’ve decided to give a ticket away. You get to attend the conference sessions live and you will get the recording for the sessions.

Christian Women Tweet Up Giveaway

I’ve only participated in one CWTU last week, but it was amazing the ladies I found to follow — one in a city near me too! The next Tweet Up is Monday, December 8th. To participate Noelle @ Take Root and Write has down a great job of organizing these and providing video tutorials on how you can join in.

In the spirit of cleaning my house of stuff I’ll probably never use or read, I’m giving away a book and spiritual journal that goes with it. I got these books about 5 years ago and they have sat on my shelf unread. I hope that they will bless one of you.

Giveaway: Focus on the Family Group Starter Kit Women’s Series

Several years ago, God placed hurting women in the church on my heart. I thought then that I might become a Women’s Ministry Leader in the church we were going to, but several closed doors later, I realize my ministry is going to be online. I have had this kit sitting on my shelf for several years. I don’t recall ever once opening it and using it, and frankly, I feel guilty every time I look at it. I’m sure it has some great resources for someone out there.

In the spirit of being thankful, I am thankful that I have too much stuff because it’s going to allow me to bless one of you. Design Books Giveaway

I am officially tired of the clutter around here. I have entirely too much stuff. Duck and I have been going through clothes and donating stuff as we can. I’ve even gotten Doodle to give away 1 box of stuffed animals to SAFE (Stuffed Animals For Emergencies — they clean them up and give them to fire departments and police for kids that might be in a bad situation).

And the Winner is …

my local buddy, Amanda It’s really fitting that she was giving me the most grief — and the most cheers during my entire fashion makeover. Amanda, I’ll figure out a way to get a copy of Shari’s book to you when I get them in.

Y’all will be happy to note, Duck has helped me get rid of most all of my old clothes. I still have a few drawers left to go through, but right now I’m wearing mostly new stuff. I do still play softball however, so I do have one or two shirts to wear to practice

We’re calling our team Ball Hogs (kinda after Wild Hogs since Duck and I ride Harleys). I’ve got a neat design for the front of the shirt. Maybe when the season starts I’ll get a picture of Duck in his … I’m not entirely sure Shari would let me wear orange
