I’m groovy?!?!

A little while ago, Heather @ Desperately Seeking Sanity took over the site Moms Blogging. She sent me an email about 2 months ago asking me all these questions about blogging. Well, last week I dug the email out of my inbox and responded. Check out Groovy Mom Blogger today!

I think Heather was just being super nice because I redid her Desperately Seeking Sanity blog yesterday. The theme she’s had forever was only 2 columns and she’d outgrown that months ago! So I made it 3 columns and changed a few minor things. If you have a chance, pop over there and let us know if you see anything really funky!

{Special Note: I am still alive :-) My husband and I rode the motorcycle to the mountains and back — been gone 4 days! Pictures and details to come.}

Imagine my shock and surprise, when I come back from our little adventure, to find that Jenny @ Life is Not a Cereal has not only create her own friendship award, but has included me among the winners. Jenny is a very sweet sister in Christ whom I love to check up on through her blog. She’s honest to the point it hurts — and true to her feelings and God. She’s not a sugar-coated Christian, and I absolutely love that about her. I hope that I can open up a little more here with my struggles and triumphs just as she does on her blog. We’ve never met in person (although we live in the same state — that much I’m sure of — we do need to figure out if we live near each other!), but I would love to get together with her one day.

Check out her site, her wonderful free digital scrapbooking designs, and her reasoning behind creating this award.

Thank you very much Jenny for thinking of me! Keep up the excellent writing because one thing for sure, God’s using it to bless others :-D

Fruit of the Spirit and Passing the Button

I was caught totally off guard last week by an email from Trish at An Ordinary Life Artist. It seems someone nominated my blog for the Fruit of the Spirit graphic (click on link to find out more about this graphic and to check out other blogs who display it). Here’s a brief description from the web site:

In his letter to the Galatians, Paul wrote about the fruit of the Spirit ~ love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). The Fruit of the Spirit graphic was developed in an effort to recognize bloggers whose writings and postings in the blogosphere give us a glimpse of this fruit in their lives.***

I’m very humbled and honored that someone nominated me for this. I truly hope you and others reading this blog are continually blessed by my ramblings here :)

While I was catching up on Trish’s blog, I notice she linked to Tamara at Training Hearts. Tamara is hosting a big giveaway — yes, another one :) — She’s got 25 items up for the giving. Check out her post on Passing the Button and sign Mr. Linky for your chance to win :)
