My purpose has been evolving but it is best described in my tagline, "Where Faith, Family & Food Collide". I appreciated this post and it's always good to evaluate where you are and if your purpose has somehow shifted.

Girl, I come to your site and Amy's and I feel so out of the loop on everything... then God reminds me that you guys are the pros. And don't say you're not, because to me, you are! I think your fantastic and if I can ever get my blog to look even half as good, I'd be doing pretty good. God is working on the content--at least I hope it's Him that's telling me what to do with myself and how to change.lol

Thanks for all you do to help the new ones like me!!

It's funny because my "mama" blog started out as a place for me to vent when I was bedbound after my MS diagnosis last year. Then as I got into the social networking aspect and writing about what I know (professional organizing and Jesus) I gained readers. Then the emails and pitches started coming. For a while I responded to them all- whether the product/service interested me or not. I felt obligated and I am a polite Southern gal =). But, in the last few months I have cut back on reviews, I don't do giveaways (except books, love me some books) and I mostly post about my family and my walk with Christ. I no longer check my stats, worry about backlinks, etc.
In both my ministry site and my "mama" blog, I have surrendered them to God. And, since then I feel more free to write what comes, rather than obligation. Hope all my rambling makes sense =)
