I seriously could not tell you what some of these are officially called. Much like the shoes, they have names that elude me. And really? I’ve never owned a pair of capris in my life — we called them high-waters when I was growing up, and that was not a good thing!
One thing that absolutely amazed me about Shari was her ability to walk through the department and pick out clothes for me. She told me that she starts off by praying that God will show her the clothes He’d have me in. That was way cool! When she first started bringing over things, I could see the look on Duck’s face — yuck. And truth be told, it was in my mind too. But when I tried the clothes on, it was so cool! I think there was only one thing that we had to put back because it didn’t fit me — they didn’t have my size. As I shared yesterday, we fell in love with everything Shari picked out. Duck was amazed that she picked out the right sizes too
Forgive my atrocious photography skills — and I’ll get pictures of me actually in the outfits as soon as I can. They’ll look much better! I promise!

These I know are basic shorts. I got a pair in this bright red, khaki and black. They definitely look more sophisticated than those mesh athletic shorts I’ve been wearing

I think these are regular shorts too, but they are a bit longer. I don’t know if they have a fancy name or not. I got a pair of these in black.

These, I think, are capris. These are the ones that I have no idea where in the world they are supposed to hit you on the leg to “fit.” But Shari said I looked good in them, so there! I got a pair of these in pink and khaki.

These I think Shari called walking pants but for the life of me, I don’t know why they aren’t called capris too — or maybe walking pants is a type of capri. I got these in black.

These are a pair of awesome jeans I got. They are darker wash than what I’m used to wearing and I normally get a straight leg or boot cut. I’ve never had any pants that flared — well, until now. These look amazing with several of the shoes I got depending on what top I choose to wear.
Leave me a comment on this post. I’ll do a drawing when I get back for a copy of Shari’s book “If Clothes Could Talk.”

Very nice! Can’t wait to see you in your new outfits. But Dad and I would love to know when you learned to walk in high heels! I think we must have missed something somewhere.
What the heck!?!?!? I will never be able to seen with you! You will look so hot in all of this. I will not recognize you. I guess I will have to start dressing up when I know you will be there!!!
Seriously, I think it is awesome. You will be amazing. What a fine looking LADY! I cannot wait to see it all ON you.

Cute clothes and shoes. I was thinking just this morning that I wanted a “What not to wear” makeover, but without the necessity of going on TV. Guess maybe all I really wanted was $5000.00 to spend on a new wardrobe. Looks like you had tons of fun. Blessings, Roxie

Did you drop a mortgage payment on new clothes and shoes, girl?
Is there anything left in the bank?
Or is it all on the credit card?
I’m trying not to be jealous.
Lisa, so glad you are sharing your new clothes…now this is a girl with style she never knew she had…it’s deep in all of us…just gotta pull it out! Lisa, you are so much fun with your “not sure what the name of the clothes are” comments! We’ll just leave it at that and you can call them what you want…they can ALL be capris! heehee! Shari
Fun Fun! Hey - thanks so much for the book in the mail. I loved the Holly Hobby card with it too. I’ll let you know what I learn. That was really sweet of you.
Thanks again.
