Hair, Hair and more Hair

It seems that hair has been the talk of the town lately. Shari has 4 posts in the last week discussing hair!

All of them are good posts and what’s really cool is Shari is having a hair dresser answer your questions. So be sure and leave your questions in the comments :)

Back in January, I won a copy of Shari’s ebook “If Clothes Could Talk.” I’ve read through it a couple of times and understand a few things a little better. But all of her hair posts this week have me wondering if I need to make any changes to my hair.

When I won a copy of the ebook, Shari also did a few teleconference calls with the winners. She had us send her pictures of us and she gave us some personalized tips. One of her pleas with me was to go back to my natural hair color. See, I’m normally a dark brown brunette. I’d been coloring my hair a reddish-brown color for several years. Duck’s got red hair and Doodle’s got a nice combination of red and brown — I guess I just got jealous of the red heads :) Shari convinced me though and since then I’ve gone back to being dark brown.

Now, I still have to color my hair because my family has a history of going gray early — like in their twenties. Yep, I used to rag my sisters about coloring their hair protesting that I would “grow gray gracefully.” Um. No. Not at 30 and not at 35 :)

I’ll have to get Duck to take a picture of me tonight or tomorrow — depending on when my hair looks decent, and I’ll show you comparison pictures from red head to brunette. One of the things I’ve been thinking about is letting my bangs grow out. I know it’ll be totally aggravating while they do (they curl in unbelievable ways!) — but all of the hair styles I like are long, curly hair with no bangs. I’m not sure that’s the way I should go, so I’ll wait and see if Shari’s hair dresser answers my question :)

This feels so spiritually deep for today. I should find the verse about a woman’s hair being her crown or something like that, but I’m heading to the gym :)
