Thankful Thursday: Music

by Lisa B on April 24, 2008

I am struggling a little bit this week on my Thankful list. Music is the main thing that stands out to me this week. Because of Third Day, Nichole Nordeman, KLOVE (radio) and Duck, I have been refreshed and encouraged in my daily walk. One of the things I noticed when I get off schedule is that I don’t get to listen to my music. Believe it or not, music is a big part of how I feel during the day.

I have been struggling this week with softball drama. It’s amazing to me how much drama there can be on a church co-rec softball team. I am thankful however that I’ve been playing well. My training at the gym has helped me improve tremendously.

Even though my training has been softball-specific and not weight-losing specific, I’ve lost about 8 pounds in the past month. Consistently working out a little each week really does make a difference! You don’t have to kill yourself to get in shape :)

I’m also thankful that Doodle got over her stomach bug from last week. She had a check-up this week and everything was great. Unfortunately she was due for 2 vaccinations and didn’t like me much after I had to hold her down to get the shots. I think she forgives me though. I told her I might take her shopping Saturday.

Check out Iris’ site for more Thankful Thursdays and participate on your blog.

Sorry to hear you’re struggling!

But I agree music helps me get through it. I just starting listening to Nicole and love her, too! I love 3rd Day,too! I don’t know the other two!

Hey, you should be pleased with your weight loss and good training and playing you’ve been doing. Softball’s a great sport and it’s too bad when team work is difficult.

Glad your little ones better and I think the shopping trip should help. Be blessed! Peggy

Sorry to hear about the church’s soft-ball drama. Glad though that you are using the soft-ball team to get in shape (I am totally out of shape *sigh)…
I can not agree more about music. I think that without music I would not make it through my work-day. I too enjoy Third Day and currently totally enjoy Casting Crowns :)

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this past week.

Be blessed today and always.
