Never fear! I’m still here!

Wow, it’s been a hectic week. My buddy Amanda thought I must be riding my bike every afternoon, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. I went and got my official motorcycle endorsement on my license Wednesday, but I didn’t have a chance to ride my bike until last night. And then I was a little disappointed. My bike has a bad shake in the handlebars and it was a little hard for me to hold on to — I could steer and get it around the neighborhood just fine, but it wasn’t as smooth as it should be. I didn’t ride very long because I wasn’t enjoying it. We’re going to take my bike and have it checked out — I know it needs an oil change and the gas that’s in there is old, so I’m hoping after those things are taken care of, that it settles down and becomes enjoyable to ride.

Doodle is out on Intersession for something like 3.5 weeks. The first morning out (Thursday) she woke me up at 9:30 wanting to know what we were going to do — where we were going on vacation and the like. She was bored already and it was just the first morning — not even a whole day out.

Great news is today we have our first practice with the 7-8 year old girls team. Duck and I are coaching (well, he’s coaching — I’m helping again). We could use some more girls so if you  live near me and know of some girls that would like to play, sign them up! It’s not too late. We were a little disheartened to hear that not many girls signed up for softball — evidently soccer is the new thing. I don’t want to take away from soccer, but I enjoy softball so much more. We’ll do our best to make it fun and hopefully they’ll tell their friends and we can grow the program next year.

Well, I am off to the lottery for this new charter school to see if Doodle gets in. Keep praying for that. I think she’d do awesome in this school.

We are a soccer family, and with four sons not a one plays baseball! That’s okay, I kind of like having spring a little less hectic. So it’s only a little less, but less is less, right?
