Lysa TerKeurst is hosting a chance for you to win a scholarship to the She Speaks Conference June 20-22 in Concord, North Carolina. I have heard of this conference and secretly wished to go for several years. It’s not even 3 hours from my house, so travel expenses can’t really be an excuse (although I have others!).
The She Speaks Conference has tracks for speakers, writers, women’s ministry leaders and teens, so don’t feel like the conference is only for speakers. They have even added some blogging classes from Boo Mama, Big Mama, and Rocks in my Dryer.
{Insert confession number ten million and eight here: I was extremely jealous when I heard they had gotten Shannon, Sophia, and Melanie to speak at the conference. I kept thinking “pick me! pick me! I know tons about blogging!” But the thing is, I know tons about the technical aspect of it. These women know how to write to grab an audience. I could learn a lot from them. I should be happy for them, and I’m working on that
}
To enter for your chance to win, head over to Lysa’s and read the rules. She wants everyone to write a post on why you would like to win the scholarship. This is probably going to sound really weird, but I’ve always considered myself blessed. Even though we don’t have the money for me to go, I’d rather someone else get the scholarship. I know there are moms out there who are struggling and could benefit more from the scholarship than perhaps I could.
I’m going to be doing some blog work to see if I can make the money needed for me to go. You can email me if you’d like for me to help you setup a blog, customize one, or change one. I’ll know if the registration closes before I make enough money that God doesn’t have this conference in my plan for this year
and I’m ok with that!
Good luck to all of you who enter! I hope to be meeting all of the bloggers at the conference

I hope you get to go!
I’m entering too, trying to figure out how to make it happen. We’ll see . . . .
Can you tell me how you add the button link. I’ve figured out just regular links . . . . Is it hard?
The tech side of blogging is huge! I almost couldn’t enter the contest because I couldn’t figure out the links! Finally did though.

Wow I love honesty. Thanks for sharing yours. I admire that you have the tech part down. I can just feel my eyes glaze over and start spinning in circles every time I hear a word like widget!
I’m going to be praying for you to find the work needed to be able to get there. Good Luck.

Lisa, even if you weren’t asked to come and speak as an expert at She Speaks, you already have done so much to help out your sisters in blogging. And I’m pretty sure God has some great plans to use your gifts - not just the blogging ones! - to further His purposes, no matter how this all turns out. Blessings!
Lisa B,
Thank you for sharing so much of your expertise! I have noticed you generously giving technical advice in the comments of Lysa (T)’s blog. You are so generous! I will definitely keep you in mind when I get ready for a new setup on my blog. I hope to meet you this summer!
Lisa,
You are so sweet and so generous to help others out with all your technical expertise. Thanks for ministering in this area. Turst me, many of us need this help! I hope your secret desire to go to She Speaks comes true.
Oh, I know, I know about the jealousy thing. I’ve struggled with that, too, and wrote about it in my SheSpeaks post. But God has truly released me from that, which I feel more and more as I read other’s posts and want them to be able to go, sometimes even more than me! Who woulda thunk that even just a year ago. May God’s glory and peace be upon us through this process!
And, by the way, your gifts to the blogging community over has been a blessing, both sceen and unseen. You are incredibly valuable!
