My Genius Better Half always picks on me since I was born in West Virginia (you’ve heard all the WV jokes, haven’t you?). Anyway, he says things like my family tree probably doesn’t branch (haha, marrying cousins and such).
Well, the other night when I was looking for a picture of my Dad to post for his birthday, I came across a really old photograph I have of his dad’s mom’s family (I think that’s how it goes). Back in June at our family reunion I had started putting information into some open source (doesn’t mean everyone can see my family tree!) software. I got into putting in more information the other night. This is something I’ve been putting off for years because it seemed so very overwhelming, but I just started with the people I knew in my family — you know, working on one at a time — putting in the information that I did know. I’ve come a long way in a not so long time.
