There are so many things to be thankful for that I don’t even know where to start!
- Back on July 7th, I shared the story of my salvation experience. I’m so very thankful that not only did I accept Jesus, I gave my life — me — to Him for Him to change. Amazingly, my husband accepted Jesus the same time. We were able to boldly build our marriage on God’s foundation. Almost 11 years later, there have been shaky moments, but the foundation has held our marriage together.
- This summer, Howard’s started a new job that he absolutely loves. I know I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll mention it again, God’s really blessed us with his job. He loves most of the guys he’s working with — likes the rest
and he’s so happy doing the things he’s given to do. He’s found a gym, and actually gets up before dawn (I think — I’m still asleep!), works out and gets into work early. I have been determined that we are going to tithe (we’d gotten away from it) every paycheck he gets. I’ve also been determined that we are going to save some money as well. - Our new-to-us car which I’ll write details about in another post
- Callie started 3rd grade this week. She got a new teacher (the teacher just graduated in May so she’s “fresh”). Her teacher is really nice and very energetic which I think is a good thing! I’m thankful for the school she goes to and the parents that support the school.
- I’m thankful I’ve been able to make a few changes in trying to improve our house and organize things. I still have a long, long way to go, but at least I’ve got a few things started and a clear direction in my head of where I want to go (which is a miracle in and of itself).
- I’m thankful for the 4 ladies who are going to join me in an online Bible study. (Still open if anyone else is interested in joining!!)
- I’m very thankful for Heather. Reading her Thankful Thursday post today actually made me cry — tears of joy. I am honored and humbled that God let me be a part of her life when she was asking many questions about Him. To see how far she’s come in such a short time, well, it’s just all God!

Teachers are special gifts from heaven, aren’t they? Glad the teacher is a keeper.
