Well, trying to check out the blogs listed on the Ultimate Blog Party @ 5 Minutes from Moms — I am #208 on the list as of Friday when this started, and right now they are up to 572 listings. Head on over if you aren’t participating because you can win some great prizes.
I thought I would be rather methodical in my partying. I started at #1 and worked my way up in tens. I think I’m up to #140. Boy, I have a looooonnnnggg way to go! Here are some things I’ve come to realize just from the different blogs I’ve read:
- There are many, many different types of people out there who believe different things.
- Some who call themselves Christians have different beliefs than I do — not saying those beliefs are right or wrong, just different.
- I have learned to tell pretty quickly when visiting the place whether or not the person is someone I’d get along with.
- Many have really cool designs for their blogs, which makes me want a cool one for this one.
- Some blogs have some really cool banners leading to other really cool Christian Women sites. I didn’t realize there were so many out there!
- Most of us just want to know there’s at least one person out there as crazy as we are — that we are not alone
- Some women are much better at throwing a party — even a virtual one — than I am. But most of us still struggled with what to write in the intro post.

Oh yeah, another thing I noticed, I think I forgot to formally introduce myself — I’m Lisa Boyd of simply His (and yes I make the s lowercase on purpose — placing the emphasis on God). Nice to meet ya’ll!

Hi Lisa,
I agree with your assessment so far! It’s overwhelming for me and I’m finding that I have to give myself permission to not comment on every blog, especially if it’s one I just don’t click with. I’ve also been amused with some of the comments. It’s pretty obvious if someone has taken the time to read your post or if they are just blog hopping and want you to visit their site. Nothing wrong with that but it’s just not me.
Anyway, yours is one I enjoyed so I have it in my bloglines and will be back often.

I too am making my way through all of the blogs…although out of order. I’ve learned a lot too.
1. I hate word verification.
2. With some blogs there is a struggle to come up with something to say. (yours is not one of them)
3. Too many blogs have auto-play music which scares the jelly out of me when I am not expecting it!
But it has been a lot of fun!
Btw, I too love coke, have a southern accent, am a dreamer and a Christian.

All these things… AND…I’m having a huge problem with the people that just listed their blog but they don’t have any reference to the party!!!! Party crashers…
Next time, we’ll be more prepared for all this partying…you know me, I just sit at home and wait for someone to invite me somewhere…I NEVER host!!!
