God has a great sense of humor. My friend who I’ve been trying to help find things in the Bible, stumbled across a post I made years ago about this Bible Reading Plan. She asked me how it’s going (or how it went) and I almost fell out of my chair. Um, it hasn’t been going. I gave up a long time before I ever made it half-way through the plan.
Since God’s brought this to my attention through my friend, I’m determined to start again. It’s not a New Year’s Resolution…and I’m sure there will be days I’ll miss…but if I don’t start again, I’ll never make it all the way through. I do need to mention that I am quite proud of Howard — he’s read through the entire Bible once. That’s no easy feat either! Now he’s doing a more detailed study with J. Vernon McGee (Thru the Bible Series) on the 5-year plan. I love listening to J. Vernon — he’s got a very good way of explaining things. Which brings to mind another thing — maybe I need to listen to him more so I stop speaking Christianese
I encourage you to at least try and read your Bible every day. Starting out with a few verses is fine, but you’ll find that God gives you the desire to want more and more if you just start.
Here’s the Bible Reading Plan I’m going to work through. Join in the fun! Let’s see what else God’s got cooking for us

Who knew I had such purpose???
We’ll start tomorrow…
